Geoffrey Toye gained fame as the musical director of the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company then later the Old Vic Theatre and a governor at Sadler's Wells. He composed and arranged many pieces, but of these his one act ballet "The Haunted Ballroom" composed for the Sadler's Wells ballet company gained the most attention. Based on a story by Edgar Allan Poe, it depicts a cursed mansion where the masters of the house are condemned to dance themselves to death with ghostly partners in the house's haunted ballroom.

Here we present Peter's arrangement of the waltz from the ballet scored for sax sextet.
