Variations on Haydn's Surprise Theme (for massed bands)

Written for the combined forces of Kimbolton's school bands, this arrangement of the theme from the second movement of Haydn's 94th Symphony uses the prep school band of recorders, flutes, clarinets and trumpets, to introduce the theme then both 1st and 2nd senior concert bands to play each of four variations. It also keeps the combined percussion section busy, using pretty much every instrument they can lay their hands on.
