Hugh S. Roberton was a leading figure in the world of British Choral music at the beginning of the 20th century. He composed this choral meditation on Easter based on the poem by Katherine Tynan which ends:
All in the April evening,
April airs were abroad;
I saw the sheep with their lambs,
And thought on the Lamb of God.
This band version was arranged in 1911 by A. Kriek and here we present a transcription of that arrangement for saxophone octet.
