Ballet Music No 2 from Rosamunde

Franz Schubert, arr. Peter Guthrie

Composed:
1823
Arranged:
2001
Grouping:
SSAATTBb

Schubert wrote his incidental music for Helmina von Chézy's play "Rosamunde, Princess of Cyprus" and the two were first performed together in 1823. The incidental music is now better remembered than the play it was written for. This, the second ballet music, is the final piece in the suite.
