A firm favourite with saxophone ensembles and soloists across the world, Nigel Wood's Under the Veil has been performed on TV and radio on several occasions, including in the BBC's Young Musician of the Year competition. Featuring a soprano solo, full saxophone ensemble, and finger cymbals it reflects the mystery and charm of a veiled lady from the east.
From Cambridge Saxophone Ensemble in the late 1990's to the present day Plural Sax, we have performed Under the Veil several times, including: Cambridge Saxophone Ensemble (1997); Glazunov at the Holywell, Oxford (2001); Kimbolton Spring Concert (2004); and more.
