Where Spirits and Demons Dance

Inspired by the sound of a barrel organ in Amsterdam, Where Spirits and Demons Dance reflects both the charm and sleazier undertones of street life in the city. Together with Under the Veil, this has been a staple of our repertoire for many years, performed by Plural Sax and Cambridge Saxophone Ensemble before it, right back to our first concert in Trinity Hall, 1997.

Originally composed for the saxophone ensemble Saxophonia, Where Spirits and Demons Dance has also been arranged for solo sax, clarinet or flute with piano accompaniment.
